About Us
As a club we are a member of Warwick Student Union’s societies federation. We are also a branch of BSAC, the British Sub Aqua Club, who are the national governing body for non-commercial SCUBA diving within the UK.
We have 10 fully qualified open water instructors including 2 Advanced instructors and Instructor trainers. 2 assistant instructors work under the supervision of a nationally qualified instructor to progress their skills and develop as instructors.

Sessions run every week during term time. Exact information about what’s happening during each session is posted before a session on our WhatsApp chat. Come along to a session to find out more about WUSAC, play underwater hockey or try out scuba diving (please contact us first to allow us to get kit ready).

Meet the 2024 Committee
The committee is responsible for acting as a mesh between the trainees, our Instructor team and the student’s union. All club decisions are decided upon by the committee who are elected once a year, all members are required to be students unless in an advisory role.
President
Antoni Zyla – Discrete Mathematics
Responsible for the general running of the club and liasing with Instructors and students for scheduling.
Dive Officer
Samuel Parker – Physics MSc
Responsible for the safety and standards of diving within the club as well as maintenance of equipment.
Lead Instructor
Denys Ilyushenko – Engineering Alumni
Has been stuck at WUSAC for 10 years now and cannot seem to escape. Advises us on any training or diving related topics.
Treasurer
Teodora Varga – Psychology with Applied Linguistics
Responsible for managing our money and grant applications.
Secretary and welfare
Thomas Holdaway – Biological Sciences
Manages the paperwork involved with the club and is the first point of call for any safeguarding or welfare concerns.

Responsible for running our weekly underwater hockey sessions and preparing us for tournaments.
