President
Is in charge of organising all other exec and ensuring a steady flow of new members and regular diving. Often has a large role in organising training and trips, understands and protects the interests of the club overall in the short and long term.

Treasurer
Keeps a close eye on the clubs finances and advises other exec if needed. Approves and submits money request forms. Ensures training/trips are run profitably. Prevents massive exec fraud.

Secretary
Deals with the day to day running of training and the club, assisting the president and training/octopush officer. Organises and records official exec meetings, often has a large role in freshers week. Is coached by other exec to assist with many roles.

Welfare
Ensures the wellbeing of other members during club events and trips. Reports directly to the Students Union. Must consider the specific needs of all club members and advise other exec, and act as an open contact for any member in need.

Diving Officer
Is legally responsible for ensuring all club diving is safe and meets BSAC safe diving standards. Should have a good idea about the condition of club equipment and the abilities of all those in the club. All trip and dive plans must be checked with the DO.
Ideally the Diving Officer is an Open Water Instructor, in the event a non-OWI is elected then a lead instructor must be appointed by the president in order to align with BSAC safe diving policy.

Training Officer
Organises all club training with the help of the DO, president and secretary. Involves planning and booking theory and pool sessions, arranging instructors and both creating and keeping to a training schedule. Must balance the needs of a cohort of trainees and the limited number of instructors, kit and pool time.

Social Secretary
Plans, advertises and runs our weekly social events for members. Produces the bi-termly social calendar. This role is particularly important as it helps us maintain trainees as club members.

Underwater Hockey Captain
Attends and runs our weekly octopush training, as well as organising tournaments and running tasters. Works with players to run a training schedule and develop a competitive team as well as welcoming newbies. Is the voice for hockey in the exec.

Trips and Tours
Works with the President and DO to plan and run our weekend trips, for fun and for training. May attend as surface cover. Books accommodations, researches possible dive sites and air filling stations, works out transport and food. Organises our annual international tour. Can be a very influential role.
