Game of Underwater Hockey being played

What is Octopush?

Octopush, also known as Underwater Hockey, is a sport played on the bottom of the pool with two teams and a weighted puck.

The goal is to score the puck into the opposing teams goal at the opposite end of the pool.

Our Sessions

We run 3 weekly sessions, open to all club members. New players are always welcome!

Coaching

More experienced players share their knowledge of advanced techniques and tactics with new and less advanced players to ensure all make the most of the session.

Games

Our sessions are normally split into two sections, half guided training with our captain and half playing full games of push, which is great practise for competitions as well as good fun!

Competitions

We regularly attend competitions such as Student Nationals and the Oxford winter tournament, as well as Nautilus and some international competitions in the past. Last year we were the 7th best uni team in the UK!

Sessions are held every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening in the Sports and Wellness Hub. Details are listed in our WhatsApp Chat.

Free Taster Sessions

Join us poolside for a session where you’ll be shown the ropes by our experienced players on Thursday 3rd Oct at 20:30-22:00, Sunday 6th Oct at 18:00-19:00 and Thursday 10th Oct at 20:30-22:00.
